Board of Directors

The Oconee Christian Academy (OCA) Board is governed by a self-perpetuating Board of Directors. Recognizing that God is the ultimate authority over the school, the Board ensures the school’s mission is carried out by overseeing its policies and operations through the Head of School. The Board hires only one employee, the Head of School, and entrusts them with the management of the school’s daily operations.

Our Board of Directors is made up of dedicated individuals who have close ties to OCA, including parents, grandparents, alumni, alumni parents, and others who have been deeply connected with the OCA. Every member of the Board is required to fully subscribe to OCA’s Statement of Faith and doctrinal beliefs, while also meeting the Biblical qualifications of leadership as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7.

The Board operates under the Policy Governance® model, which emphasizes the importance of using board policies as tools to establish purpose, create vision, empower staff, and assess the school’s performance. Through this model, the Board works to ensure that OCA remains faithful to its mission of providing a Christ-centered education and nurturing tomorrow’s leaders.
