Tuition Assistance

The Board of Trustees and the administration believe in the eternal impact of Kingdom Education and strive to keep tuition costs as affordable as possible for our families while maintaining excellence in all that we do. However, The OCA Board also recognizes that some families may need Tuition Assistance in order to provide a Christian Education for their children. There are several options available to these families.

South Carolina ESTF Grant

This is a State Grant that directs thousands of dollars to qualified recipients for the purpose of educational expenses. It is open for a short window in January – March each year and is available on a first come basis so check it out and be ready to begin the day it opens! Please click this link for more information and to see if you may qualify.

529 Plans

These are typically thought of as College saving Plans with Tax benefits but can also be used for K-12 Education. So if you or a loved one wants to explore setting aside money for tuition utilizing this tax benefit more information can be found here.

Tuition Assistance

Each year OCA works hard to raise additional funds to be able to help families who have a verified need bridge the gap between Tuition costs and what the family has the ability to pay. This is strictly a financial needs-based Assistance and recipient families are expected to help in these fundraising efforts from year to year. Any family desiring assistance must be actively pursuing enrollment and have paid Registration Fees in order to be considered. The Tuition Assistance Application and required supporting tax documentation must be completed and submitted through the Grant and Aid portion of FACTS. FACTS verifies the financial information and makes a recommendation to the OCA Tuition Assistance Committee. The Committee are people who know and love the school and its mission but can remain unbiased because they are not employees on the payroll of the school. They pray over the recommendation from FACTS and the application details, and then try and match available funds to meet the qualified needs for each family.

*Since all funds must be raised yearly through fundraising efforts, awards can vary from year to year.

The family is then notified if they do or do not qualify. More information can be found here.

Please direct any questions you may have about Tuition Assistance to the Business Office which is typically open Tuesday through Thursday during the school year and on Tuesdays in the summer. accounting@oconeechristian.org
